Bandbewerbungen 2011 – Bands gesucht für Festivals und Events – Newcomer und alte Hasen bewerben sich jetzt

[ACHTUNG: Dies ist ein dynamischer Beitrag, den ich erst begonnen habe zu verfassen, es werden noch einige Links und etwas Sortierung folgen…]

und ich könnte hier wirklich Hilfe gebrauchen, also wenn jemand beim Kategoriesieren und Überarbeiten der Links mithelfen möchte, lasst es mich wissen. Auch bin ich immer offen für weitere Links zu Bandbewerbungen. Ich selbst habe noch locker 10-20 Stück, die ich noch durchsehen und hier poosten muss – so stay tuned

Wie im letzten Jahr möchte ich auch für 2011 Links zusammenstellen, über die sich Bands bei Festivals und Events bewerben können.

Wird dann eine Linksammlung sein, ähnlich von Google Suchergebnissen,
aber etwas chronologisch geordnet (mache ich nach und nach)
und eventuell auch nach Kategorien/Genres/Musikrichtungen sortiert.

Ich bin wie gesagt dankbar für weitere Links zu Bandbewerbungsmöglichkeiten oder jegliches andere Feedback. Sommer 2010 – Booking für Brasilianische Bands und Künstler im August und September 2010 in Europa

Folgende Brasilianische Bands, Künstler und Gruppen sind in diesem Sommer in Europa und können bei Konzerten und Events besucht sowie auch noch kurzfristig gebucht werden.

Die Künstler stammen allesamt aus der Region Vitoria und spiegeln eine abwechslungsreiche und vielfältige Kultur wieder. Brasilien ist ein sehr großes Land und reich an Kultur, auch und grade abseits von Rio.

With nearly 10 years on the road, the group show its musicality on songs about love and struggle, among many other everyday situations.

Formed in Vila Velha, ES, in 1995 with the purpose of playing HARDCORE with lyrics in Portuguese. The Influences ranged from classical punk rock of the 80’s, through European bands and American hardcore punk. Although MUKEKA knew how to give a distinct identity to all of that peculiar mix of influences, creating a sound considered by many in the specialized media as unique.

The band has played in Brazil’s most renowned festivals like Abril Pro Rock, Goiânia Noise Festival, Ruído Festival, Porão do Rock and others, besides having a full agenda in national territory. Out of the country, they have played in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and a successful tour of 10 concerts in Japan, becoming the first Brazillian hardcore band to perform such a feat. They also have many international releases, in countries such as Portugal, Finland, Argentina, USA, Chile, Japan and others.

The singer and songwriter of Espirito Santo, Dorkas Nunes, began her artistic career early: at 06 years old at Espírito Santo Radio in the program”Paraíso Infantil”. At age 12, was part of the Cast of singers of the radio, performing in auditorium programs. In the 70’s and 80’s, her contralto voice was already highlighted in the bands “Edson Quintaes” and “Libertação”.Performed in several cities in the ES, as well as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte. Alongside the violinist Sebastiao Tapajos at Carlos Gomes Theater, participated in the project Muqueca. Among her most notable solo performances include: the opening show of Elis Regina in the Syrian-Lebanese Club in Praia da Costa and of Clara Nunes at Náutico Brasil in Vitória, both in the late seventies. Fan of Clara Nunes participated in a homenage to the singer in TVE and has that record at the Clara Nunes Museum in Minas Gerais. Among the regional projects that she participated are: “Vinte Ver”, “Palco Aberto para o Samba” and “Segunda de Primeira”.Received a homenage at the National Samba Day at the Legislative Assembly of Espírito Santo, as “Guardian of the Capixaba Samba. Is member of the “Velha Guarda” of the Unidos de Jucutuquara Samba School.

The Choro group “Carne de Gato” is musical reference in Espírito Santo for 10 years of existence and have in their background  big names of the state’s culture: flutist Sergio Alvarez (Ph.D. in music from the University of Miami with a PhD thesis in ‘choro’), the violinist Nelson Gonçalves Filho (Master in Communication and Semiotics at PUC – SP, former director and professor of classical violin of FAMES, a member of the “Velha Guarda” of Espírito Santo’s Samba and Alexandre Araújo , music therapist graduated from the Brazilian Conservatory of Music and former member of the Orquestra de Cordas Brasileiras/RJ.

The repertoire of the group ‘choro’ – which consists the first typical Brazillian urban music – and essentially own songs and great masters of the genre in their carreers. In the last few years the “Choro” group Carne de Gato made several presentations including: Meetings of Chorinhos and Chorões, Cultural State Circuit of the Sun Rout, Cultural Circuit Banco do Brasil, Winter Festival of Domingos Martins, in addition to participating of all of the festivals of the Festival de Música de Botequim on the hill of the Alagoanos among others.

XIX Century Brazilian Classical Music – FAMES (BRAZILIAN INSTRUMENTAL)

The group consists of flute, guitar, cello and mandolin (teachers from the Music College of Espírito Santo). The Concert Music of Imperial Brazil ( Espírito Santo Music College) talks about the cultural legacy of the reign of Peter II, including the legacy of the dynasty Bourbon. Directly linked to the musical tradition and the legacy Brazil-France that endures since at least from the first Reign.

They perform songs from Joaquim Callado (Brazilian flutist and composer born in Rio de Janeiro, then capital of the Empire, the most popular musician in Imperial Rio de Janeiro, Matheus André, Student of the Bruxelas Conservatory in 1844, and three years after he was awarded for his skills with the flute. Was hired, along other notable artists of the time, by Imperor D.Pedro II to the Palace Quinta da Boa Vista, among others as important as João Pernanbuco, Henrique Alvez de Mesquita and the famous Villa Lobos. A true stroll in the classical music of Imperial Brazil.

Besides being a self-taught musician, this rhymer who started playing at church by the age of 15, has already been a guitarist of a rock band, lived in NY and was part of a samba school in his old neighborhood (Vila Rubim).

Rapper J3’s main characteristic is his sound, a fusion of reggae and hiphop, passing through a melting pot of influences ranging from bossa nova to soul music and electronic music. The forceful and positive speech is remarkable. With over 10 years of road experience, J3 has presented his music in the main capitals of the country and opened concerts for various national Rap and Reggae artists such as Racionais MC’s, Marcelo D2m Gabriel o Pensador, MV Bill, MR. Catra, Negra Li, B.Negão, Black Alien, Rappin’ Hood, Kamau, MC Marechal, Ponto de Equilíbrio, Ras Bernardo, Digital Dubs , Adão Negro, Cidade Negra, and even the North American rapper Já Rule, on his last trip to Brazil in 2008. With two solo albums released, songs on the soundtrack of videogames (EA Games), participations in compilations of wide circulation( Som Livre), such as FIFA STREET 2 (Playstation2 / Xbox), CALDEIRÃO DO HUCK HIP HOP NACIONAL (CD), COAST TO COAST Vol. 19 (Mixtape USA) and starring in TV commercials, J3 also presented radio programs ( Soda Black and Capixaba.com) in an FM in Espírito Santo for two years.

Ácqua—Enki Cia of Dance

The sea, as the primordial cradle, brings in its plasticity and rippling effect, water – this element that crystallizes as a mirror flooded with images and dreams, spectrums and visions. As we can see through this watery world, which symbolizes the unconscious of humanity, promoting a constellation of significances that inspired the design of contemporary dance performance ‘ ACQUA’ , the scenes invite you to dive into the depths of symbolism, bringing forth creatures and myths of Creation, fruit of the collective imagination. The research seeks to reflect on our origins and its contemporary relations with the sense of water and life in the XXI century.

Besides the solo presentation of the researcher and choreographer Paulo Fernandes, we will have a show of costumes from the spectacles Cosmognos, ACQUA and Simbolein and photographs of the spectacle Acqua, whose images are rich in African-Brazilian symbolism.
